French Bulldog

The French bulldog is a small sized dog with a muscular compact frame. It has a large head which is square in appearance, medium sized eyes which are round in shape, dark colored bat ears which are extended, a black nose, and teeth which meet in scissors bite. It has medium sized legs which are strong and muscular with medium sized feet. It has a short, smooth and fine coat.

The color of the coat can be white, brindle, fawn or a mixture of brindle and white. The French bulldog is an easy going and slightly comical breed. It is good with dogs as well as other pets. It is largely a companion breed which will keep people amused. The French bulldog loves to stay indoors so is well suited to an apartment life.

The Yorkshire terrier has significant features of small size and tan and silky blue coat. The breed has the nickname of yorkie and is on the Toy Terrier Group by kennel clubs. It is a winning show dog and a popular dog for companionship.

The coat of a Yorkie is glossy, fine, silky, and straight. The coat is traditionally grown out long and is parted in the middle of the back. The traditional coat color is steel blue to dark gray color from the back of the neck to the base of the tail. The hair on the tail is a darker blue color. The head, legs, and high chest have hair that is a bright rich tan with roots that are darker in the middle and shades that are a lighter tan at the tips.

The French Bulldog needs to be taken on a daily walk, where the dog is made to heel beside or behind the person holding the lead, as instinct tells a dog the leader leads the way, and that leader needs to be the human. Simply running around a large yard is not going to satisfy their migration instinct. Take care in hot weather. They love to run and play and can play for hours if you let them. Some have higher energy levels than others.

They are average shedders so the short and fine coat of the breed needs to be brushed once or twice a week to maintain a healthy looking coat. It should be bathed only when necessary or can also be rubbed occasionally with a damp towel. Its eyes and ears should be cleaned properly and nail needs to be trimmed regularly to avoid any injury.

It is a fairly active breed so a daily walk is enough to take care of the dog's emotional and developmental needs. It is sensitive to very high or very low temperature so should be adequately protected. This dog has a tendency to gain weight quickly so overfeeding should be avoided.
